| Goose Lake State Park: This peaceful campground sits amidst green grass and shade trees on the shore of Goose Lake, a large, shallow lake that straddles the Oregon-California border. Its remote location makes reservations unnecessary. Visitors are thrilled by the bird life inhabiting the Goose Lake valley. Migratory waterfowl is most abundant in the spring and early summer when stream runoff is at its peak. Mule deer frequent the park, mornings and evenings, during the late summer and fall to feed on the fruit from homesteader's orchard located within the campground. |
