Paisley
This small town nestled in the Great Basin, with the high desert to the east and the Fremont National Forest to the west, has a rich history of thoroughbred horse racing and sheep and cattle ranching. Named for Paisley, Scotland, the city was incorporated in 1911. Paisley sits at 4,369 feet in elevation-more than of a mile above sea level. Its small size and mild climate make this little town a great home and a fun place to visit.

Ranching: The town of Paisley is hub to a deeply rooted ranching community with many ranches over 100 years old. The ZX Ranch south of Paisley is one of the largest working cattle Ranches in North America.
Coglan Butte:The fault-line scarp of the Coglan Buttes fault block forms the east side of the upper Chewaucan Marsh Basin. No Outstanding features occur along the seven-mile stretch. The height of the eastern decreases by about 1000 feet northward from Coglan Buttes. The main Coglan Buttes fault block slopes northeast away form the basin. Elevation of 6209 feet.
